Privacy Policy
Effective 7 October 2026. Adler is operated by Simoniha Technologies (OPC) Private Limited ("we", "us").
What Adler does
Adler is an AI assistant you text. You tell it what you need done; it breaks the request into steps, researches, reminds you, and — only after you approve — messages or emails people on your behalf. It can also read a connected calendar or inbox when you ask it to, and prepare a payment page so you can pay someone yourself. Adler never moves money.
Information we collect
- Account: the phone number you text from, the name you give Adler, and your Apple ID identifier if you use the iPhone app.
- What you ask for: your messages to Adler, including voice notes and screenshots, and the to-dos made from them.
- People you mention: names and numbers of contacts you ask Adler to reach, and the messages exchanged with them on your behalf.
- Adler's working notes: what it found and did for each to-do, so it can pick up where it left off and show you what happened.
- Connected accounts: calendar events and emails, only if you connect them and only to do your to-dos (see below).
- Payments you make: who you chose to pay and how much. Adler never asks for, stores or relays card, bank, UPI or one-time passwords.
How we use it
Only to do the to-dos you give Adler, show you progress and proof, keep your account secure, and make Adler more reliable. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
Service providers
Adler relies on a small number of providers under contract: AI language-model services to understand your requests and draft messages, messaging and email services to deliver what Adler sends on your behalf, and cloud hosting and storage located in Singapore. They process your data only to provide the service to us, and your data is not used to train AI models. You agree to this when you accept Adler's terms during sign-up.
Google user data
If you connect Google Calendar, Adler can see your events and free/busy times, and add or reschedule events when you ask or when it books something for you. If you connect Gmail, Adler gets read-only access to search and read emails so it can find bills, order IDs, confirmations and replies needed for your to-dos. Adler never sends, deletes or changes your email. Email and calendar content is used only to do the tasks you give Adler, is encrypted at rest, and is not reviewed by people except with your permission, for security, or where the law requires. You can disconnect either anytime from your settings or your Google Account.
Adler's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don't sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
Linked WhatsApp (beta)
If you choose to link your WhatsApp, Adler joins it as one of your Linked devices so it can message people from your number, as you. It sends only to contacts you approved, and the first message to each is shown to you word for word before you approve it. Adler reads only two things there: replies from people it messaged for one of your to-dos, only while that to-do is open, and what you type in your own “Message yourself” chat. Your other chats, groups, status updates and history are not read or stored, and Adler doesn't send read receipts. The linked session is stored encrypted. Unlink anytime by texting “unlink whatsapp” or removing it under Linked devices in WhatsApp; the session is then deleted. This feature is not provided by or affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta, and WhatsApp may limit accounts that use linked devices this way.
Adler for parents (health information)
If you set up Adler for parents, Adler reads one WhatsApp chat in your linked WhatsApp: your chat with each parent you add, and only after that parent has replied yes to Adler's introduction in that chat. Until they say yes, nothing in that chat is read apart from their yes or stop. Your parent is a data principal in their own right: their yes is recorded as their consent, and they can withdraw it at any time by replying STOP, after which Adler stops reading and messaging that chat.
From that chat Adler keeps what your parent sends about their health: messages, prescription and report photos, PDFs and voice notes (which are transcribed). It extracts medicines, readings, test results, visits and symptoms into a structured record for you, with each fact linked to the original. Messages that aren't about health are discarded after a quick check. Your own messages in that chat are used only to avoid interrupting you, and are not kept. Adler sends short check-ins in that chat, from your WhatsApp, always marked as Adler's.
This health information is stored encrypted under your account's key, is visible only to you, and is used only to look after your parents as you set up: to check in, keep the record, update you, and help with what you ask (like booking a test). AI services under contract read it to do this; it is not used to train their models, and it is never sold or used for advertising. Adler is not a medical service and does not give medical advice. Deleting your account destroys the key, which makes all of it permanently unreadable; you can also stop care for a parent at any time.
Messages Adler sends for you
Adler contacts someone only after you approve it for that to-do. It introduces itself as an AI assistant acting on your behalf, sends you a copy of every message it sends, and never shares bank, card, UPI or Aadhaar details or one-time passwords.
Security and retention
Your messages, to-dos and notes are stored encrypted under a key that belongs to your account alone, and nobody at Adler browses them. We keep your data while your account is active so you can refer back to it. When you delete your account, we destroy your key, which makes what was stored permanently unreadable, and delete the rest within 30 days.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can access, correct and erase your data, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance. Most of this is available directly from your settings (text "settings" to Adler), or write to support@hireadler.in.
